Symbol: Luftforsvarets Skolesenter Kjevik

This is the military patch for Luftforsvarets Skolesenter Kjevik (Royal Norwegian Air Force School Center), located in Kristiansand, Agder. This base is today used to educate officers and soldiers for the Royal Norwegian Air Force.

Some old history about the airport:
The first flights at Kjevik started in 1937 when Hærens Flyvåben (Norwegian Army Air Service) used the location for operations during a military exercise. There was no runway or anything else that resembled a modern day airport, just an open grass field.
In 1938, the airport started working on its first runway measuring 40 x 1000 meters, and during May 1939 the first traffic started coming to the airport, making Kjevik the second airport officially opened for traffic in Norway (With Sola being the first and Fornebu being the third).
The airport was captured in June 1940 by the Germans who immediately started expanding the airport to the size of 80 x 1500 meters. During June 1945, the airport was recaptured by English and Norwegian forces.
In 1946 Flyvåpenets tekniske skole (Airforce technical school) moved to Kjevik with about 250 solders and instructors from their old base at Kjeller. The ownership of the airport itself was also transferred to the state during 1946. Its runway was yet again changed, to its current size of 40 x 2000 meters.

Symbol: Police Academy Patch

Police Academy Patch
(bad texture due to problems with too many layers, this is two symbols on top of each other)

Our designers had a bit too much time on his hands, and got inspired by the 80's... Again......

Police Academy is a series of American comedy films, the first six of which were made in the 1980s. The seventh and to date last installment, Mission to Moscow, was released in 1994. The series opened with Police Academy (1984) which started with the premise that a new mayor had announced apolicy requiring the police department to accept all willing recruits. The movie followed a group of misfit recruits in their attempts to prove themselves capable of being police officers. The main character, Carey Mahoney (Steve Guttenberg), was a repeat offender who was forced to join the police academy as punishment.

Symbol: HMKG & GSV

We asked around a bit, and it seemed like these two were the most requested ones. These are probably the highest respected military services that mainly consist of conscripted soldiers in Norway. They're both of battalion size.

Hans Majestet Kongens Garde

His Majesty The King's Guard, formed in 1856, consists of a battalion sized force that has two main roles. It serves as the Norwegian King's bodyguards, guarding the royal residences and Akershus Fortress in Oslo, and is also the main infantry unit responsible for the defense of Oslo.
The battalion served with distinction during WW2, where it prevented the Wehrmacht from capturing the Royal Family and the Cabinet at the Midtskogen Gård on 10 April. They were known among the German soldiers who fought them as "the black devils", due to their ferocity and dark uniforms. The battalion is world famous for their appearance at various Military Tattoo events.

Garnisonen i Sør-Varanger

The Sør-Varanger Garrison is a military camp located near Kirkenes in the north of Norway. The Border Company's main job is to guard the 196 km long Norwegian-Russian border. According to the Schengen Agreement, their task is also to guard the European border.
The soldiers deployed for border service are trained as reconnaissance rangers and they are granted police authority for border relations and is one of the few Norwegian law enforcement divisions carrying weapons and live ammunition on a daily basis. GSV is the only service where all the conscripted soldiers who complete training are promoted to corporals.

Symbol: Hurtigruta Carglass

Hurtigruta Carglass is a leading company in the industry repairing and replacing windows in vehicles. It's the Norwegian daughter company of Belron, which has companies in 32 countries and a staff of over 12 500.
The broken windshield symbol, in addition to being a part of their commercial, looks like a bullet hole when put on a vehicle and for that reason the symbol might be offered up for sale at a later date. Because of the neutral colors, it can be turned into any color, and still look good. We will be putting this at a vehicle at a later time, when we get a proper reference picture how to make it look exactly like the real vehicles.

Symbol: Norwegian Police Emblem

This symbol took about 6 hours to create and it's made up of 184 layers. We use this on everything related to the Norwegian Police uniforms we create. We have to use a "toned down" version for our vehicles that's only 120 layers, or else we can't get anything else on the vehicles.
